I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor/Therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, substance use and abuse issues, trauma and traumatic stress, grief and cumulative losses, relationship difficulties, self-image, identity and life transitions. I am LGBTQ knowledgeable and affirming.
I am a warm, empathic listener and creative collaborator with a passion to empower, encourage, and instill hope in distressed and overwhelmed individuals. I work with survivors of abuse, neglect and trauma to help them reconnect with themselves and feel whole.
My approach is integrative, which means I bring knowledge from various modalities in which I've been trained such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive/Cognitive-Behavioral, Substance Abuse/Process Addiction Therapy, Trauma Informed Treatment for Traumatic Stress/PTSD, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Career Counseling.
Most of all, I am nurturing and relationship-oriented. I believe in the importance of a trusting and genuine therapeutic alliance so that clients feel heard and understood, as well as encouraged to heal and grow in a safe, supportive environment.
